HYPERIA Limited is a Communication Service Providers (CSPs) offering a wide range of Internet and Communication Services to multi-nationals, private companies, families, individuals as well as other Internet Service Providers. Hyperia, member of CIS group of companies is one of the oldest names in the African Internet space, having achieved its license in Nigeria since 1997. Hyperia was Nigeria’s first Internet backbone set up to provide low cost, easy access to the Internet.

Knowing the peculiar environment in which we operate, Hyperia has put in place a dependable and secure network making use of ‘state of the art’ equipment, thereby forming a most reliable Internet Backbone, first of its kind in Nigeria.

Hyperia’s architecture is based on protocols employing the latest backbone switching gear and the acclaimed radio equipment. One of the most distinguishing features of the Hyperia Broadband Network is the decentralized nature of the backbone. Every Hyperia cell site is equipped with at least one full 10 Mbps that is directly connected to the international backbone of the Internet.

Yahclick is made available in Nigeria through a partnership between Hyperia and Yahsat, which uses proven technology to offer Ka-band satellite services. This technology maximises spectral efficiency through frequency re-use. While this sounds rather technical, it means that Yahsat can provide high power, concentrated beams targeted over specific areas with high market potential.
